About This Programme

A.B. — English Language Studies at ICSA

A.B. — English Language Studies is a full 146-unit degree awarded by CAP College Foundation, Inc., a Philippine distance-education institution recognised by CHED, the Commission on Higher Education. ICSA is your local partner in Kuwait — we handle enrolment, provide the study materials, guide you term by term and coordinate your assessments, so you can complete the degree without leaving your job or the country.

This programme develops deep command of the English language — phonology, syntax, semantics, stylistics, language teaching and research, plus foreign-language study. Across eight terms you build from the history of English to a language research thesis and a practicum.

If you did not complete Senior High School, you will first take 18 units of Foundation subjects covering the general education the degree builds on. If you already hold a Level 5 or Level 6 diploma, some of your credits may transfer — shortening the degree.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Who awards the degree, and is it recognised?
The degree is awarded by CAP College Foundation, Inc., a Philippine distance-education institution recognised by CHED — the Commission on Higher Education. ICSA is the study partner in Kuwait: we handle enrolment, materials and local coordination. The qualification itself comes from CAP College.
Can I complete A.B. English Language Studies while working full time in Kuwait?
Yes — that is exactly what this programme is designed for. Study is by distance learning, term by term, at your own pace, with no daily classes to attend. Most students working full time complete the degree in three to four years.
How long does it take, and what does it involve?
The programme is 146 units across eight terms, plus a 600-hour internship in the final term. Studying around full-time work, that typically means three to four years — though advanced entry from an existing diploma can shorten it considerably.
I already have a Level 5 or Level 6 diploma. Does that shorten the degree?
It may. Level 5 and Level 6 qualifications can earn advanced entry, with existing credits transferred against the degree — reducing both the time and the cost. Bring your certificates and transcripts to the consultation and we will assess exactly what carries across.
What if I did not finish Senior High School?
You can still enrol. You will first complete 18 units of Foundation subjects covering the general education needed before the degree begins.
What careers does this English degree lead to?
It prepares you for roles in English teaching and tutoring, writing and editing, corporate communications, content and localisation, and further study — with strong demand for English skills across Kuwait and the Gulf.
